July 11: "Acoustic on the Green" features Luke Brindley
Acoustic on the Green returns after the Fourth of July weekend with New Jersey-born, DC-based artist Luke Brindley. This 2008 Washington Area Music Association award winner for Best Contemporary Folk Album will surely entertain the entire family.
July 18: "Acoustic on the Green" features Michael Sheppard
Acoustic on the Green features Michael Sheppard. Michael has been active in music since 1996, and earned several prestigious industry awards, including 5 Washington Area Music Association awards for Best Male Vocalist and Best Artist/Group in the Rock/Pop. His passionate collaboration of heart, soul, mind, and musical integrity is truly entertaining.
July 25: "Acoustic on the Green" features Naked Blue
Naked Blue returns to Acoustic on the Green this week. Led by the performing songwriter team, Jen and Scott Smith, Naked Blue have become one of the most successful independent musicians in the Mid-Atlantic. Naked Blue has appeared on CNBC's 'After Hours' and numerous other community and radio events. Awards include Washington Area Music Association's Best Female vocalist awards in the Rock/Pop, Roots Rock and Contemporary Folk categories as well as Music Monthly Magazines Best in Genre and Best Folk Group. We welcome Naked Blue back for a truly entertaining show.

- The Bluemont Concert series continues its Sunday Evening shows with The Daryl Davis Band performing on July 5, Gold Heart on July 12, the Martinsburg Jazz orchestra on July 19, and Pan Masters on July 26. This year, the concerts are being held at Dodona Manor.

August 1: "Acoustic on the Green" features the Joe Daniel Acoustic Band
Acoustic on the Green starts August with the Joe Daniel Acoustic Band. Joe has been playing in the area for about 10+ years. He creates a very soulful atmosphere with his voice backed up by a very unique rhythm and blues in the music. Think Joe Cocker, Ray Charles, with a little Marvin Gaye and Van Morrison mixed in, and Joe provides a uniquely jazzy acoustic thrill.
August 7: Leesburg's First Friday - Theme: "Hawaiian Luau"

August 8: "Acoustic on the Green" features Gary Smallwood
Acoustic on the Green welcomes back Gary Smallwood. Gary is a well respected, hard working musician, playing 300+ shows a year. His style of music consists of classic rock, soulful blues rock or just "flat out guitar rock."
August 15: "Acoustic on the Green" features Robbie Limon
Acoustic on the Green features Middletown, Virginia, native Robbie Limon this week. Robbie has been performing as an actor and musician for twenty years, and brings his love of `70s-era songwriters to each performance. The result is an eclectic mix of the Eagles, John Denver, Gordon Lightfoot, Credence Clearwater Revival, Roy Orbison, The Doobie Brothers, Jim Croce, Willie Nelson, and several others.
August 15: "Acoustic on the Green" features Jennifer Daniels
Acoustic on the Green concludes it weekly summer series with national touring artist Jennifer Daniels. This year, Jennifer is playing in places as far away as Pensacola, Florida, and Livonia, Michigan, but she concludes her summer tour, as Acoustic on the Green concludes it's summer series, here in historic, downtown Leesburg, Virginia.

Leesburg's Annual Flower and Garden Festival

Leesburg's Flower and Garden Festival is an annual event, but a perennial experience! The streets of downtown Leesburg are turned into a pedestrian walkway filled with vendors providing the best ideas and products for your spring gardening needs. This festival is usually held the third weekend in April.

Dog Days in Downtown
On one special Sunday afternoon in October, historic, downtown Leesburg goes to the dogs-literally! This event highlights just about anything that is dog or pet related-including toys, gadgets, and veterinary services. Various dog rescue and humane societies are also here to educate, provide awareness, and provide adoption services.
This event is hosted by the Leesburg Downtown Business Association and benefits dog rescue, humane societies, and all animal lovers throughout our area.
Acoustic on the Green
Acoustic on the Green is a free, weekly concert series held on Saturday evenings from June through August on the Town Green, located directly in front of the main entrance to the Town Hall at 25 W. Market Street. The series features local musicians with, as the name suggests, a bent towards acoustic music. Lawn chairs or blankets are advised. Picnics are encouraged. But, please, no smoking, alcoholic beverages, or pets.

The Bluemont Summer Concert Series
The Bluemont Concert series is a weekly event held on Sunday evenings from June through August at Dodona Manor. Audiences enjoy world-class jazz, bluegrass, Celtic music, rock, rhythm and blues, zydeco, African dance, folk music and more. Many people bring picnics to enjoy during the show. People of all ages are welcome. All Bluemont concerts are smoke-free and alcohol is prohibited. Pets are not allowed in the concert areas. A small ($5) donation is requested to help Bluemont support their mission of bringing music to schools, nursing homes, and communities throughout Northern Virginia.

First Night, Leesburg
Families, friends and neighbors from all over Loudoun and beyond are invited to Leesburg's annual, alcohol-free, New Years celebration. First Night Leesburg hosts over 100 wonderful performances at approximately 20 indoor locations in historic, downtown Leesburg. Enjoy jazz, classical music, puppet shows, bluegrass, folk music, rock & roll, magicians and much more! Performances are held in boardrooms, lobbies, courtrooms, church sanctuaries, parish halls and other locations. First Night concludes at midnight with a traditional Grand Illumination gathering on the courthouse green. Historic, downtown Leesburg is the ideal place for you to spend New Years Eve with your family and friends.

The Loudoun Hauntings Tour
Discover Leesburg's real night life during the Loudoun Museum's annual Hauntings Tour. This walking tour of "spirited" homes and businesses is a Leesburg tradition. Visit more than a dozen sites, each of which have their own "reported activity." Learn where many of the Revolutionary War's Hessian POWs were housed, and where many still "reside." Explore shops where the owners "never left." Discover the Civil War widow who fought to keep her house, and now "stays" to do the housework! This event is usually held the weekend before Halloween.

Classic Car and Hotrod Cruise-In
This classic and performance car show is favorite! Around 200 classic, antique, and muscle cars will fill the streets of downtown Leesburg during the first Saturday night in June. All the while, DJs set the environment by playing 1950s and '60s music.
The event is hosted by the Northern Virginia Rods and Classic Car club. All proceeds benefit the C. S. Monroe Vo-Tech's Auto Collision Repair Course.
